The Rouse Avenue Court will pronounce its verdict on August 28 on the demand to restart the coaching institute in the building of Rao IAS Study Circle. In a petition, Abhishek Gupta, CEO of Rao IAS Study Circle, sought relief, claiming that it was necessary to ensure smooth functioning of the classes. The process is going on in the court regarding the matter. The High Court had handed over the investigation to the CBI in the case. The court had reprimanded the MCD and Delhi Police and said that the MCD officials do not care about this. This has become a common thing. Apart from this, on August 23, the Rouse Avenue Court rejected the bail plea of ​​​​four co-owners. During the hearing, Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna had said that the investigation is still in the initial stage. Therefore, I am not in favor of granting bail.

Petition to preserve CCTV footage disposed of

On August 21, in the same case, the court had disposed of the petition filed by the SUV driver seeking preservation of CCTV footage present near the incident spot. The CBI told Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Nishant Garg that the DVR of Rao Coaching, the DVR of the Pink Booth of Delhi Police present there and the CCTV footage of Chahal Academy situated in front of Rao Coaching have been preserved. Apart from this, the court has given one week’s time to the CBI to file its report on the petition of SUV driver Manuj Kathuria seeking release of his vehicle.

Seven people were arrested in the incident

Delhi Police has arrested seven people in the case so far. Four of them are relatives of the building owner, including his son. One is the owner of the car due to whose pressure water entered the building.
